During the Gamescom convention in Germany, Sony has released their final specs for the PlayStation Vita, dispelling rumors of a RAM reduction:

What this helps confirm, other than the RAM are some of the audio, and video codecs Vita will be able to handle. Thankfully, it seems there will be a lot of potentially codecs to use on the platform, allowing for easy transfer from your PC to your PSV.
